The Placards - Add/Edit form enables you to add or edit observed placards for the hazards associated with the container specified in the gate form.
To add a placard:
To add the first placard, in the All Transaction Placards block, click 
.
From the Placard lookup field, select the placard you want to add to the container.
Click Add.
Repeat steps 2-3 to add all the placards for the selected container.
Click OK.
To delete a placard:
In the All Transaction Placards block, select the placard that you want to delete.
Click 
.
Repeat steps 1-2 to delete all the placards for the selected container.
Click OK.
If you click Cancel in the Placards - Add/Edit form, N4 does not save your changes.
Notes
To save the placard information with the gate transaction, include the ApplyInspectionPlacards (on page 1) business task for the gate transaction type at the selected gate stage.
The observed placards are associated only with the gate transaction and are not saved with the unit.
In addition, you can include the RejectMissingPlacards (on page 1) business task to reject a gate transaction if a hazard is associated with a gate transaction but one or more of the placards associated with a hazard are not present at the inspection gate stage.
